In my opinion, grade 12 English should be a prerequisite course for all University programs. Some individuals view English as useless and a boring class, but they don’t know how English plays a vital role in our daily lives. English allows you to open up your world. It is exceptionally critical that you have great communication abilities while you go through life.

English is used in every course you take either in high school or University. Without English, a lot of students would lack communication skills, and it would be a difficult time for them to face the real world. The skills that you create coming out of high school can be genuinely advantageous for a course at any University. University programs like life sciences, engineering, and business will always have something to do with English, whether it is a presentation, research or a written report. ENG4U prepares youthful individuals for post-secondary. It would be vital to sustain and promote essential skills from grade 12 University English course to build your future in post-secondary. It forms a strong English foundation for every student, no matter what they are doing. With excellent English skills and foundation, you can excel and succeed in the career of your choice. It will not only help in post-secondary but also in real-life situations. Individuals will appreciate and be grateful for having this course when they reach their post-secondary destination.

Therefore, yes, I believe ENG4U should be a prerequisite course for going into any university program, and everyone should take it as a helpful course towards their post-secondary path.
